Guyz,,,, im driving wira aeroback 1.3cc... currently overhaul it and change the piston and clutch 1.6... and upgrade to disk brake too, so my 13 inch sport rim cnt fit it as the disk slightly bigger... so i wanted to upgrade to 15 inch.. bt kinda small and nt sporty.. so tried 16 inch, its nice and good look too.. so guys, if I use 16 inch rim, am i gonna face deep effect on pick up & FC? and i measured the weight of the rim, 15' gives 7kg and 16' gives 8kg... Is 8kg per rim too heavy? so advice me here guys... im preferring 16' because of its look... TQ...

And another doubt guyz, u saw a shop selling Japan rims such as ADVAN brand jz for rm900++ and claims light weight... is it original ADVAN or replica ADVAN?

Bro, there is no original Japan made rim priced at RM900++. You couldn't even get a 2nd hand one at that price. Those rims u saw is most probably Taiwan made replicas.

you are still on 1.3cc.. my opinion is, 15" rim is enough. 8kg for a 16" is heavy bro. it seems that u are concern about the effects on pick up and fuel consumption..hence the conclusion is: SEARCH FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT rims. but not all lightweight rims are good. some are cast, some are forged. the latter is much more expensive but i gives u the satisfaction of having big wheels yet lightweight and strong/durable.

good 15" rims that might be affordable for u and lightweight: wedsport TC05, ssr type x, watanabe RS8, sprinthart etc..

commonly a 15" rims itself is already lighter than 16" and above right..imagine a 15" rims lightweight.

p/s: off course desmond evo, ssr type c, te37 etc..are lighter and forged. but it comes with a price

bt bro... 15'' light weight also will cost rm3K pluz rite? i mean ori made in japan 1... nt the replica...

talking about light wheel dont forget about racing sparco viper R, for jap light weight this is one
of the cheaper version second hand market price around rm 1100 to rm 1200, according table of wheel weight the weight is arround 9lbs each.

No need to look far la. Advanti Storm series is ultralight too. 15" one is 4.5kg I think.. very lightweight.

When I changed from the SGTI 16" to these Storm 15" rims, it made a huge difference in acceleration but at the cost of some cornering grip. Not much though. 205/45/16 to 195/55/15

16" rims on 1.3 will be under powered. If you don't mind, of course can be used.
Tyre size 205/45/R16 and will look sporty

put bigger rims if u are only looking for looks, put smaller rims if u are those performance oriented.

bigger rims will effect your FC, but of cos handling will be better in the expense of wider tyres and u get rough rides cos profile is thinner.

smaller rims, not so bad but ride will handle like sampan unless ultimately you put on adjustables and such.

Agreed. 15" will be a cross between comfort and performance, but will not look as good as 16"

Go with 15 as the 16 will be too heavy for ur car, unless you want to spend too much money on lightweight Japanese wheels!

Can look good if you lower down the car a bit to reduce the fender gap

Then will be bumpy already....

1.3 on 16" rims with 205/45/R16, I don't think light weight rims will help that much either.....

Put 16" la, drive slowly bro, as long as it looks good on your car, a bit penalty on fuel consumption, acceleration, and more expensive tyres but not much to talk about for 1.3 litre; the only difference between a 12sec and 9sec car is 3sec that's all, unless you want to play drag race. Wira sits really nicely on 16" with proper suspension setup and body kits.

if you get the 15" with deep lips..it will look smaller... but with the right design it can look as big as 16"..

imagine use 16" with 5 people inside :slug:
