actually my father buy 1 , since im still not working his paying for my car stuff , he said good lol so i just use since his paying i cant do anything
uh i thought its good to add addictive ? thats what my father said so does my teacher , but i forgotten what it does though....
but if u ask me i myself not even sure which oil is good = ="
as long it keeps my engine lubricated and it doesnt evaporate then its good i guess, unless ur a bolt on then u must use synthetic then, well thats wat they said, since im not running a bolt on car lol
Uh... ok I think there's some miscommunication here. Bardahl makes oil additives. According to their website
www.bardahl.com that's
all they make. Someone mentioned that they use Bardahl
engine oil... and since the website never mentioned anything about engine oil I am suspicious of the oil and where it comes from.
Good quality oil will do a good job of lubricating your engine internals, clean the engine internals and help it keep cool (to a certain extent). So no, not all oils are the same. Some clean better than others, some are made from better base oil, some are ester based, some can withstand very high amounts of heat, etc.
But I guess for the average user, all the oils are almost the same la.
Personally I have used these brands :
1. Royal Purple
2. Redline
3. Shell Helix
4. BP
5. Castrol
6. Adnoc
7. Pennzoil
8. Eneos
9. Elf
10. Ravenol
11. Motul
12. Esso
13. Mobil
And this is my
personal opinion :
1. Royal Purple - Damn good cleaning agents but damn short life span for a fully syn oil. Engine internal damn clean after using this oil. But makes the engine feel rough and kinda noisy.
2. Redline & Motul - Ester based and bloody expensive. Bloody nice.
3. Shell Helix, BP, Eneos Eco Touring, Adnoc Pearl, Pennzoil 5W30 fully syn - Feels normal. Nothing special. All somewhat short lifespan except Pennzoil but that's fully syn so not really fair to compare with semi-syn.
4. Elf and Esso - I used mineral for these oils. Nothing special.
5. . Ravenol and Mobil 1 - this one hard to describe. Both are really expensive (Ravenol is 5L bottle and Mobil 1 Gold is just expensive). Ravenol is supposedly made from group 4 base oils so that's pretty damn good oil, lasts pretty long and does a pretty good job at quietening my engine. But very bothersome because it's 5L and I rarely use more than 3.5L each change. Expensive long term. Mobil 1 isn't made from group 4 base oil but it has the same effect as Ravenol. Again it's expensive.

Oh, my last comment on engine oil additives : I'm not a supporter of additives. Oil companies spent millions in research to come up with the best oils that money can buy, how does a bottle of RM25 additive make it
better? Personally I don't use additives and I don't support them so I won't give anymore comment than that.
