To all RB guru,

Which cams suit for RB26 running with GTSS on a GTT?

- Tomei 260 pon cam
- HKS 264(IN), 272(EX)

As i know GTSS is a very responsive turbo, if match with 260 pon cams, will it too over responsive?

the HKS cams is 264in and 272ex
was told that this kinda setting is HKS old school cams

What cams 264/272? I used 264in/ex but never used GT-SS before. Yours is a GTT so one GT-SS turbo only?

Loki,

Thank mate, will go through it....

PIMPIN,
was told is HKS old school cam.
My question is if use twin GTSS on RB26, if use poncam 260in, 252ex, will it be too responsive?
or i should use higher degree cams?

Loki,

so your setup is twin GTSS with 260 poncam type A...if gear 1,2 or 3 will the car wheel spin if full throttle?

Oh so you have the cams already. Didn't understand initially, thought was some combo recommended to you. Anyway, if you're using an RB26 in the GTT don't even need the GT-SS much less the cams to spin the wheels at full throttle LOL

Either way, I'm sure Loki can fill you in better.

But....

Are you actually going for response? 260s would be fine since you don't have to further do up the head with things such as retainers, valve springs etc....but considering you're using it on a GTT with RB26...wheel spin is to be expected :driver:

RR, His car is GTT and fully converted with RB26 engine...so running twin GT-SS..

Bvalve - go for pon cam..just plug and play (sorry EJ wrong info for pon cam last time because my engine head already using diffrent shim etc) no need grind, shimming, ratainer etc as the cams are plug and play..unlike HKS, you need to grind your engine head, shimming etc.."banyak kerja"..

Pon cam consider enuff for your RWD unless if you want it for drifting etc, go for higher cams..

wheel spin ?

18" rim
255 front and 285 rear tire size can still wheel spin or not ?

:biggrin::biggrin:

feezdya, was it as good for cnmg as it was for you? LOL

Feezdya

dragged too long
i stuck in between... better one off settle it

Nope and my car is putting out 500.84 PS (493 whp) at 1.6 bar, displaying a good power band and a very healthy max torque of 56.24 kgm (551.15 N·m of torque). Full boost at 4000 rpm.

The GT-R's ATTESA-ETS system prevents that. For those unfamiliar with the ATTESA, it's pretty much a 16 bit microprocessor that monitors wheel spin and laterial acceleration. When wheel slip is detected, the ATTESA will transfer up to as much as 50% of the power to the front wheels.

When slip IS detected on one of the GT-R's rear wheels (rear wheels turn 5% or more than the front wheels), the system directs torque to the front wheels which run a viscous LSD. Rather than locking the AWD in all the time or having a system that is "all or nothing", the ATTESA-ETS system can apportion different ratios of torque to the front wheels as it sees fit.

Word of warning to GT-R owners: if you choose to launch the car really hard at say a drag strip event (using the stock front differential), you will likely damage the spider gears in the front open differential. This can be countered, however, by a upgrading the front differential to a decent aftermarket LSD unit.

Sorry to hijack ur thread bvalve, but was wondering what cams would be good for my car.

Using twin Nismo turbos which is basically similar to the stock ones bar steel fins.

Would Type A (260/252 in/ex) be sufficient or Type B (260/260 in/ex) Poncams be good?

Currently full boost at around 5krpms (1.2 bar only)..

For response, perhaps Type A?

The best cams for GT-SS turbos with 2.6 bottom end would be (according to HKS...), 264 IN/EX. Step 1 gives you better throttle response, Step 2 gives better power.
