since evo8 mr cam looks quite tempting, I think I will do some upgrading.
below are the things I think I will upgrade

1) evo8 mr cam
2) works lighten cam pulley
3) change all hose
4) absorber (want to lower down)
5) thinking of ceramic coat for turbine and exhaust
6) exhaust, downpipe and decat

before proceed, I've got a few questions would like to ask

1) since I m changing the cam, is it better to change the spring too?
can I use Brian crower valve spring?
2) is it better to change to alum hose or samco silicon hose?
3) must I fit in wagon absorber? eve 9 can fit?
4) exhaust change to stainless steel got effect?

1) You need aftermarket valve springs or original evo valve springs to prevent sticky valve.
2) Which part of the hose are you referring to?
3) No. You can get lower cost lowering springs like Eibach Pro-Kit.
4) Stainless steel exahust lasts you longer and nicer cosmetically. Performance is highly dependable on design of the muffler.

2) hose to intercooler.. mine is still stock standard
3) once lowered, if 3 ppl seating with stuff in the boot, can the spring support?

1) evo8 mr cam - one of nice cams for our stock replacement cams if with valve spring more nice.
2) works lighten cam pulley - nice then stock
3) change all hose - sure need this replacement items, for TMIC replacement stainless steel hose with samco silicon hose, if not just go for FMIC.
4) absorber (want to lower down) - if want like track car use D2 ADJUSTABLE ABSORBER if not used tein wogon ADJUSTABLE ABSORBER or rallyart ADJUSTABLE ABSORBER not bad too.
5) thinking of ceramic coat for turbine and exhaust - nice item, i also looking for this service.
6) exhaust, downpipe and decat - stainless steel nice then stock.

When you said lighten crank, does it mean crankshaft?

Lighter pulley will improve pickup and response but personally, I don't have it. My car is slow and heavy like big fat potatoe, so no point using it anyway.

Just came back from ah wah place.. From 10am to 10pm
Change to 2wd and install m7 boost meter..
Change oil, some worn out bushes

first obvious feel is the car is lighter .. but i wont say u can really feel as light as honda city...
going up hill is a lot easier.. normally gear will change when going up hill...
now no gear shifting...

I also notice most of the time i am in 5th gear... less gear change compare to previous

sprint from 0 a bit not as steady as 4wd... still manageable.. cause my trek only 180whp

turning radius is a thumbs up... hehe like normal car already

cornering, hasn't try much yet.. initial feel is cornering still in control.. feel more realistic in cornering compare to 4wd..

will post once getting the fuel consumption.

When you said 0-100 is not as steady, does it mean you get wheel spin? Will it be worse for those above 250whp?

A big benefit from this mod is lessen weight close to 100kgs. It is a lot of diet for a 1600kg car and brings many benefit.

So far those I knew who converted to 2wd loved it. Better FC too and we're not utilizing the AWD for our daily on-road. The thing that worries me is that the car will behave like transplanted big power engine into a FF car. Loss of stability.

when u hard press 0-100, yes u will have wheel spin!!! U will feel like the car like a mad cow....
the beginning tends to move a little bit out from straight line (maybe is my alignment)
about 1 -2 seconds only.. after that straight smooth line sprint

Really cannot imagine if car is 280whp..
but i saw in the thread someone actually converted to 2WD with 280whp...

cost is 700

I don't like wheelspin cos it's loosing traction. Do drive safely. :)

Well if you get enough traction, I believed the acceleration will be faster than AWD due to lesser friction from just 2 wheel and also, lighter chassis.

next round is tyre change..
thinking of goodyear Directional 5 225/45 r18.
Price in klang is about $385 per piece, include alignment and balancing.

So far, last saturday, i had install Works oil catch tank and also bought filterMAG for my oil filter.
Any idea where to get bluetooth tyre gauge?
