proton wira convert evo 4 / 5 . Possible ?

Rear ended by a 7 series ...

Insurance paid for the repairs ...

When car came back, rear right wheel when jacked up is higher than the other side

The wheel tilts inwards. Not driveable. Caused by this ...

Spent the last few months parked idly while I tried unsuccessfully to find it a new body. In the end took a chance and had it repaired by another shop. Now feels okay but I still have some engine work to do before I test it proper

oh wow... thats a really bad crash...

Sorry, to see your car in that state.....:smokin:
How come during Insurance repair that was not done properly?

Lol. . .I wish I know. It was a real mess when I got it back. Had enough of waiting for it. Preferred to fix it out of my own pocket. Wheel hub was damaged. So replaced with new

ouch....so the foam really help to take some of the impact. ?

Cant be sure. I am not that experienced in assessing collision damage. Sec, I show you pics of the BMW and my car.

The fender took much of the impact& crumpled in. Didnt hit the chassis beam below the boot, Main damage was my rear wheel. Judging from the pictures, I think the BMW's wheel hit mine.

There's a tear on the fender where the petrol filler lid. I have autofoam on the C pillar. Dont see crumpling there. So I suppose the autofoam did help in a way.

Possible this part would have folded more if there weren't any autofoam there.

I wasn't present during the accident. My brother was driving. He stopped to take a call. Accident occurred several minutes after he has stopped. I am guessing the driver was in a rush

Well, imo anything was better than their first proposition. They said since the car was old, insurance company may propose write off. If like that, I rather not claim

Just about to get foaming, well i did have some thought on accident scenario, how bad would it be with the chassis is strengthen by foaming :hmmmm: , looks like will go with UR bar then..
Well, you could just foam the H frame and leave out the pillars & sills.

2 of my cars are foamed. I dont regret it.

I thought they only write off when the cost of repairs exceeds to insurance value?:smokin:

It's a 20 year old wira. To them, it likely wasn't worth much.

I wish I could convince thieves to stop targeting my vehicle.
