What are you driving now?

lol.. saw above discussion just like Initial D where all people look down on that old school AE86...
Myvi wins on weight, try to change to kelisa with K3VET and see.. you can easily see a monster even at stock since weight is super duper light..
Still remember that last time when there is some Sg Buloh youngsters drove Civic mayat with retuned chip B16B easily take over Wira VR4 stock on traffic light..
Even Vios, City, and Jazz is fast because of the weight issue..
my current ride, daily legs.. alza BOT.. hehe..

K3VET had like 130hp. With that kind of power and weight, it can be very fast.

But Vios and Wira's weight differences is not so far apart. Wira should be like 1000kg while Vios is like around 1100kg plus? 1NZ-FE had 17hp more than 4G15. In that video, Vios is much newer than Wira too, so when it comes to engine condition, Vios should have an advantage. But it could be that the 4G15 is very well maintained as well.

bro, is driver skills....add another 1km, see vios can win ah ?

1km is like top speed battle already.

OK2 let me steer back to original topics.....here's my old junk & still kicking till today....

Here's my wife, Cik Putih
She's my 2nd wife & already 11 years old, already started demand more money than my 1st wife
Not much happening around her lately coz 3 kids commitment scoup most of the budget but just changed her shoes to BBS CI-R since previous BBS LM's were broken all 4 rims thanks to Msian 'good' condition road....even her Black German cousin cracked her shoes not even a month after came out from showroom...

Things Im grateful bout her is she still got the looks & tech which most brand new cars doesn't have & I didn't feel old fashioned for more than a decade cars....but comparing with newer siblings & cousins which now mostly were forced induced, its hard to keep up with the new kids in town but it's OK.... I'll cry in my car nobody knows :listen:

Nice ride. I will laugh happily if in ur car. Hahahaha.....
Keep on posting guys.

My car is a Persona. Bought it in 2013 by my dad for my mom. When I started college in 2014, the car become mine. Since then gathered some money and do some minor mods that I can afford to it (college student mahhh, not much money in pocket :bawling:). Maintenance side nothing major yet, millage also still low around 39k.

I like almost everything about the car. Only issue I am having with it is the fuel consumption. Even after I convert it to manual (I didn't convert because of fuel consumption), the consumption is almost same as the time it was in auto or maybe a little more worse. But then again, maybe its due to my right foot become more heavier after convert :laugh:

I always like the old persona design compared to the new one. :top: How much did spend swapping the gearbox to manual? (If you don't mind).

You are using original BBS wheels? Those are really expensive.

Your car is not an old junk. It is a Bimmer, ultimate driving machine. Old with simple tech is better than newer high tech stuff if you enjoy the raw sensation of driving.

My car is a Persona. Bought it in 2013 by my dad for my mom. When I started college in 2014, the car become mine. Since then gathered some money and do some minor mods that I can afford to it (college student mahhh, not much money in pocket :bawling:). Quite a good looking Persona although the two holes where the original licence plate is attached looks slightly weird. Maybe you can try to cover it with something? My car's history is a bit similar with yours. Also bought by my dad for my mom to use.

It is a surprise to hear that you swapped the gearbox to manual considering most people in KL want to drive auto and your car is still quite new. :adore:

Old one is better in terms of technical specs. Using multi link rear suspension compared to torsion beam in the new Persona. This car can even use CK 'terbalik' 4G engines from Mitsubishi too.

Tq. Regarding to the hole, well I thought of close it and repaint it, but then my bumper clip broke due to scrape at somewhere. So wanted to change new one then one shot close the hole at there....hehehehe

I always wanted a manual so made the swap. Luckily the other guy's car also around similar millage with mine. So far haven't regret yet for swapping. Hahahaha

Good idea. Just leave this old bumper as it is now.

Quite lucky that you manage to find another owner who wanted your gearbox and at the same time, you wanted his.

By the way, how old are you? I guess you might be younger than me since you said you started college in 2014. The picture of your car is taken at your college? Saw some banner that looked like college advertisement.

Yea exactly. Got many offer for swap, but keep on rejecting until got this. Straight accept.

I'm 21. And the pic taken in my taman. Some advertisement on launching of a new project. Hahaha

Fuh! the middle age disappearing due to work, family etc., and hopefully you youngsters are filling in the gap.....:adore:

A few years from now, we all will be driving electric cars, it's inevitable. Enjoy your internal combustion engines (ICE) while you still can. I can imagine telling my grand kids in the future how great it feels driving ICE engines with manual gearbox, listening to the engine as a cue to change into a higher gear.

Previous deals not so good?

21? Very young. I'm 24. Can learn a lot from here.

Who disappeared? SF they all is it? Now is like a coming of new batch ZTH active members.

I'm still new to both this car world and the forum :hello::hello:

You joined in September 2015. Not too new, hahahaha.

Might not be as quick as few years? Probably at least a decade or two.

I can also imagine our internal combustion engine cars becoming like horses today. Used to be daily transport but now horse riding is like recreational activity. In future, we might have turf clubs for cars like those horse turf clubs today. Internal combustion engine cars only exists in tracks, not on public roads.

The shift is sooner than we think because battery technology is rapidly improving. In Sweden for example, 51% of new car purchase is electric! This is sad, really...
