B16B smoked by SR16ve N1???

Yesterday one of my fren showed me this Vid to smoke me... He claim tat B16b wasnt the highest Hp engine from its manufacturer (i never said it)... The 200hp SR16ve N1..... I was speechless... Anyone know this??? comment pls...

yess, its true & old story, the thing is SR16ve N1 are rare & expensive, parts are VERY hard to find
So dont worry so much

last year SDB got 1...body nissan sentra...white colour...i think use SR16ve N1 engine bcoz this car register SDB under class C....

You sure thats a stock Nissan production engine?... doesn't look like. He did mentioned that there was quite a bit done on the car... If so, its not a fair comparison to ditch the Ek9

Ok, i've checked that its actually a production car but a limited amount and a tuned version of the SR16VE. Yeah it kicked ass... 134lb/ft of torque says it all already and thats pretty amazing for a 1.6 litre engine with high RPM capability.

Why did honda came out with the i-vtec K20? Why did Nissan came out with the VTC SR20? Why did toyota came out with the VVT-i (whatever the engine code is for the Vios)? And why did that question pop up? Ofcourse manufacturers are competing with each other in terms of technology ..... bro.

I respect your opinion on Honda cars. I don't want to start a war against that statement.

bro, ..its just the competion from japan cars for we buy..for we fight..for we upgrade..
for conquer auto world market..its true that SR16ve N1 is better..but why nissan never promote?bcoz JAF rule to make nissan just popular only turbo...honda for NA..mit/subaru for 4wheel...
juz watch dat video finishing win by honda...if honda lose we never buy vtec anymore...haha.. so we can still make many choice to choose....

this video is 10 years ago, and the author only show part of it just to bash vtec.

this vzrn1 is full option equipped with cross gear ratio, upgraded mathcing spring with dampers, exhaust, brakes and so on. it cost 3+million yen
later part they equipped the civic with similar part the n1 got, ctr come from behind to kick the vzrn1 ass.
the total cost with car and spoon stuff 2million+yen.
so who got the last laugh.

tell story pleae tell the whole story and not just cut and paste.

Hahaha....supernova beat me to the followup part....and SR16VE N1 has only limited 200 units around the globe compared to the abundance of B16B's.....Most SR16VE's here are the normal ones.....the N1 version is so difficult to source unless u have $$$ and good contacts in japan itself

Bump: But i just doubt wit the vid whether tha pulzar is stock or mod condition in term of the handling and performance??? i personally dont think the Pulzar can beat the CTR in track wit 15hp more...
