Anyone here that was part of the RX8 convoy last night at the Shell, across Eastin Hotel last night?

Yup.... I was there..... We (Rx8ClubMalaysia.com) do this almost every Friday night. Yesterday was special....20++ cars :). Usually its about 10-15 Rx8s

BTW - you were driving that white R34 GTR Num Plate"A** 4" rite? Awesome car bro...... (refering to ur avatar pic... There was a white GTR that went into Shell)

I think a couple of RX8's chased me. *laughs* One pulled in front of me and let go some 'bangs' and flames.

Hahaha ..... U could smoke anyone of us pretty easily .... Obviously u let em in front of you :) .... I don't remember chasing after you. Must be a couple of the other guys :)

:wavey: The bang 'n' flames only happens during upshifts and downshifts. Pretty involuntary...... It just happens.... You can be sure that the flames weren't directed at you :). Most of us were "flaming" throughout the midnight run mate :). Even a relatively stock Rx8 can flame out during upshifts.... All that needs to be done is to remove the catalytic converter (you also need an aftermarket exhaust).

Yes. Even more easily really. Both FD and FC will sport flames with little effort - depending on your exhaust system. I just need to lift off on my FC.

But seriously, there is this person who drives a silver/grey RX8. His name is Jason. Told me he has been 270kmh in his car and took 45min to get to Singapore from KL.

Says he doesn't hang out with the RX8 club because he thinks the RX8 club people never mod their cars. So I thought he must have a loaded RX8 to say such a thing, but he only has ecu, exhaust and intake mods, or so he claims. Apparently he's getting a CBA-R35 at the end of the year. :rolleyes: Told me his favorite car to TAPOW on the road is the BNR34.

I am still trying to get Jason out to have a TT. Anyone interested to join?

It is possible there might be a small drive up to Putrajaya after that, you know... To witness the sheer awesomeness of a car which is able to make it from KL to Singapore in 45min. Must bring cameras and all. It should be a spectacular sight.
