Dear all,

I would like seek some info regarding the 1.8camshaft in 1.6block + adjustable cam pulley.

What will happen if the intake & exhaust is set to 0 degree by using adjustable cam pulley?

the reason i ask is because by checking the manual. intake should open few degree before TDC and the exhaust open few degree aft TDC
Hope u all can guide me bcoz my car so underpower now and the workshop say the 0 degree is the best setting for my car.

a camshaft will never fit into an engine block... :thefinger:

it only fits into the cylinder head... kekeke..

well... if u set the cam gear to 0 degree, that means u are running stock settings. The camshaft itself already got a certain angle.. The markings on the cam pulley is the relative advance or retard angle for u to adjust.

What engine and what camshaft? cam degreeing requires you to clay your motor to see what is the maximum advancement or retard you can use on the cam gear settings. Then off to the dyno to play around with the cam gear to see where it is gaining power regardless whether you are advancing or retarding the camshaft wrt the max allowable setting before piston slap. V2V clearance ain't much of an issue with stock factory cams so far that i've seen and heard.
