Rotaries are rev happy engine above 5500K without turbo boost. besides, a season track driver wouldn't let the rpm drop that much either. even if it's a turbo powered, u wanna keep the rpm high enough for the maximum use of horsepower. quoted this from an article. i think it was SCC.
