4ag lack of power????

I got one situation, i test drive one of the ke70 with 4age engine (140hp come frm ae92) with a rear 'big'(ppl say) axle with disc brake, i can feel that not much power come out from the engine.. the engine stil in good condition...

then i try sit on another ke70 with the same engine but not sure is the same axle or not (i think is the one they call 'small' axle).. this one i really can feel the power come out from the engine.. even this engine got blue smoke some more....

the question i wanna ask wil the axle will bring down the engine performance?? (or say like this, can't extract out all the power frm the engine?) does any expert frm here also experience this b4?? can share wit me wat's wrong in it and how to make the power out from that engine??? Thanks~~~~

Please check what is the final drive of the axle. If stock KE70, it should by 3.9, Open diff from AE86 axle normally come with 4.1 final drive, and the last one of coz stock LSD axle with 4.3 final drive axle.

Axle with final drive 4.3 definately will give you more repond and acceleration compared to 4.1 and 3.9 final drive.

4.7 final drive from TRD is the BEST!!!! Available new, used unit is very rare.

Yupp i agree the EG9 said the best are TRD (Final drive)...
by the way, i suspected the another KE70 engine are modified already. Seem u said got the blue smoke, I'm sure this engine did many thing at the Ignition place and air fuel place already.

thanx EG9.... o icic~~~ i'm also not sure wat's the ratio for that ae70, juz onli feel the response arnd 5k rpm hard to go up .... i notice that the rear disc brake looks like a bit larger than the another ae86 axle.... but the owner told me that it taken frm the ae86 axle as well... so issit axle for ae86 got 2 different type?? if got wats the differences on that???

i'm not sure tat ke70 got modify on the ignition or fuel.. coz i din saw some of electronic component inside tat car...i juz onli can feel the power frm his car is more powerful than tat ae70 eventhough is the same engine..... the higher he rev his car, the more power can feel it.....

now i'm consider to buy which one.... both of the price is also same.. the ae70 with the engine doesnt hav blue smoke, mean in healthy condition ( but don hav so much power like tat ke70) the suspension stil stock....
while the ke70 engine got power, but oledi got blue smoke.. the suspension also oledi mod with drift ready... which one is better???

I think is lightweight flywheel is play around the main charactor. As u say it more easy to rev up more than 5000rpm, mean flywheel had been lightweight. By the way, gear ratio also help.

Ermm.. for me la, me like stock. If want to modified, it will be more puas hati... haha...

Hand ichy already? good good. Need your help now.
DIY install the blue box yesterday night. Start from 9pm untill 1am.
Everything done but car cannot start, must be something wrong somewhere.
Check through the diagram again n again...but nothing wrong.
Got ignition, but seem like no fuel going in..hahhahahaha.

BUY THE ONE WITH GOOD CHASSIS CONDITION!!!

other part can touch up later, peformance also can restore back. If chassis rust badly, restore back also not as good as stock chassis.

Bro EG9,try check the injector wiring again,you say got spark no seems no fuel, i think your injector dont have 12v power supply connected.Try put some fuel in the manifold and start the car,it is seems to started,the something wrong with the injector wiring.

Indeed something wrong with the injector wiring.
It need 12V power to trigger the injector where I tap it to chassis ground.
Nomatter how I try also won't start lar.
