[QUOTE="boggysv, post: 1326970, member: 4918"] 1.5th hand info you want to hear ar? The B7 would improve tremendously with just a rear sway bar upgrade and a chip. Had a friend who can do a 2hr sgbesi-singapore trip with just ONE tank of petrol (~60liters?). and with a more reasonable speed, about half to 60% tank. That is for a modded quattro manual B6. B5,B6,B7 all share a similar front suspension setup. Be afraid of control arms...be very afraid!!! especially if you often drive into holes. Tie-rod ends were notorious on the B5, not sure if they are better on the B6/7, but it cost less than 200 to fix per side. The tiptronics cannot handle much power, and it aint cheap when anything goes wrong. The gearbox and powersteering both require very specific audi oils, which are not so cheap. Vacuum hoses seem to be a problem on some of the turbocharged cars, but no big deal, usually requires a simple tightening. In the event of fried turbos, everyone will ask you to go ko4. A "sticky" diverter valve is also easily replaced. Most of the private workshops out there are not too familiar with the B6 or B7. If you visit the workshops at old klang road, you'll mostly see B5 and C5 models there. Newer ones have got too much electronics. If you go back to Euromobil, the price is almost the same as sending your beemer back to AB. Anyways, audi cars shouldnt have much problem if you just give them the necessary periodic care. Do not try to cut cost when servicing the car. It's cheaper than a new 325, and the money you saved can be used to "beautify" the car, or save it for maintainance. imho, the 325 is over priced for what it is. well...still better than a 320.
