Message: <blockquote data-quote="icyd" data-source="post: 3867307" data-attributes="member: 23568">im using gab ha for my mazda lantis.had some bitter experience with it.first of all it was making clicking noises when turning the steering.then i found the spring seat was broken.went to RS One kepong but damn i got cheated they gave me replacement of hwl brand which was smaller and flimsier and white.it's supposed to be red.i did request for the red ones like original but they said my abs is old model should use the white one.went back and installed it myself and it lasted just for a day.the plastic seat was deformed.called them back,luckily they replaced it with the correct ones without much question.but it costs me unnecessary trips to get it.so unfortunate for me,the noise persisted.i had to disassemble the shocks again to find the top was actually scraping against the original mounting.this resists the turning force that the spring will twist and bounce,hence the noise. i solve the noise by placing a piece of rubber under the mounting to space it out with the abs.and the problem gone.i haven't tried any other brand,currently satisfied with gab performance.although i feel slight unbalance between front and rear.then again it might be due to chassis flex,since its an old car,and all the rubber bushings might have gone too.the ride is a bit on bouncy side,thinking of changing to softer spring rate.but some said gab tend to get softer after a while.should i just wait for that moment then?</blockquote>

Shifting Rod

is it recommended to cut the shift rod shorter so tht it looks "sporty"? Will it affect the shifting procedures???
