hi....

i'm driving a 10 year old wira aeroback 1.6

lately, my front part of the car vibrates at speeds of 80km/h and above

the whole front part vibrates....not the steering wheel only

u can feel ur leg shaking left and right quite violently

this only happens when i press the pedal at 80km/h and above......when i let go the pedal, the car rolls smoothly

the vibration also reduce if i accelerate hard(above 4k rpm)

and also when going very very slowly in basement parking(cemented terrain), u can feel the car a bit unbalance(feels like having a puncture tyre, jus not as bad)..

i went to the mechanic and he said a lot of possibilitites to this prob and he is afraid of asking me to change any part in case it does not solve the prob

so anyone who has faced the similiar prob please tell me how u solve it.....

thanks

 Mechanic scared to change parts in case it doesn't fix the prob? My advice? CHANGE MECHANIC

Check wheel bearings, check tires, check engine bush, check alignment..

that's all I can think of.

does ur car only vibrates in between certain speed?
like between 80km/h - 100km/h
after 100km/h the vibrate gone?

the vibration is most obvious in speeds of 80 to 110

thanks

u should ask mad gad people see for u cos sometimes if the car is sambung 1 also can cause this problem like i sit before in a defected car. so make sure u check it out cos if sambung next time u 1 sell damm serious ler.

i meet this problem b4..normally wheel balancing will slove this problem below 80km/h if over 80km/h still vibration u need to do on-wheel balancing, tats not many tayar shop got such service coz its really need skill :)

Hhmm.... my car is a stock satria 1.6L manual tranny year 1995. Just recently, when I accelerate, my car will vibrate. For now, I assume it's coming from the engine area because most of the vibration starts from there. When I roll in free gear, it's smooth, no vibrate.

Still hoping I could pin point the problem. Any suggestions, comments, etc. are very much welcomed.

1st, when u in neutral gear, when u accelerate did it shake ? if not, mayb it cause by clutch plate, or drive shaft, the bearing broken or mayb not fixed well, if not, need overhaul gear box

Mate my opinion is dont jump straight to conclusion.Check the very basic, starting from your tyres, sport rim, bearing, engine mounting then go on step by step. This is the only way we can troubleshoot the problem and apart from that learnt the correct way...

Aight. Will prob have the alignment & balancing checked first. Then I'll move from there onwards. thanks y'all

Should try go faster abit, say 120km/h and above, if the vibration gone means 75% is balancing(this happens to new car also), alignment or chamber nut failed. In summary, if go higher speed then normally is front tyres problem. This is from my experience, correct me if wrong.
