loo Sean D: the carbon fiber look sticker is different..its just a sticker to stick on onto your prelude's hood to make it look like carbon fiber hood :)

real carbon fiber hood is light weight and its made out of those material called carbon fabrics and fiber fabrics

Why have to relate to my prelude hood .. seems prelude are cheapo tho ..

I, too, wanted to make my own cf hood but never moved forward. Maybe we do group buy and then all can try make together (especially for the less skilled people like me)

errrr....then who got the oven big enuf to cook that cf for curing???

If until the extend of needed to use oven bake, then you may also wanted to make a clay mold, vacuum bagged like a factory.

For one off piece, you don't need to do like a factory. Before you invest so much on buying the CF stuffs, I recommend that you better go to hardware shop and buy some fiberglass and resin to practice for small piece of sht 1st. Making CF is easy but is not as easy as seen on youtube. Big flat piece like bonnet may need to make a mold else you may need to spend more time for solving the left-right imbalance issue. BTW, end of the day, you may found out that pure CF bonnet is not strong enough when cruising at high speed on the road. Some PVC pipe and fiberglass can save you a lot of time and money and effort.
