Cleaning car seat belts

It appears cleaning car seat belts requires a different methodology than just spray APC and wipe.

May I know what is an effective and quick method to thoroughly clean the belts so they appear like new?

Some say to completely stretch out the belt, gently close the door so the door holds the pulled out belt, spray APC, leave it to soak, then power wash the belt.

I cleaned them once with an apc & a shoe brush....worked well. Wiped/rinsed afterwards with a damp cloth...of course...

Any mild shampoo and less corrosive substance will do
Hair body shampoo is great

As it is strap to your body

Unless you have grease or windscreen glue like mine at the rubber trim and stain

Therefore I use safe APC - alien power clean and free of casinogen / cancer causing agent
