Disc Brakes vs. Drum Brakes???

Hi Everyone!

I have another question for you guys!

I heard that for the rear wheels, drum brakes are STRONGER than disc brakes

and disc brakes are merely for the cosmetic look of the car... In total contrast to

what I believe.

I believe that disc brakes do not brake fade as fast as drums and it provides

more even wear than drum brakes.

Since I'll be using a turbo car soon, won't disc's be more relevant to my purpose

of use. BUT, however my formen told me that drums are more reliable in rainy

weather and gives better braking braking performance and works well with

handbrakes whereas disc brakes do not.

I would wanna draw any personal experience from you guys regarding this, coz

a car's ability to brake is crucial considering the power output of a turbo car.

Any sort of help, comments or personal experience would be of great assistance..

Your fact is correct. Drum is better than disc braking, period.
In high speed driving, imagine if u run along MRR2 zip zapping traffic during high traffic flow(you'll need to use the brake often) and disc brake will not have the fading effect. If you participate grassroot motorsport and circuit lap times also disc brake will be good.

The asthetic effect is also very ....satisfying. Charade rear disc brake is still 'affordable' compare to kancil, therefore if you have the cash, go ahead by all means. The rear disc brake does not define your braking power that much, its the front brake that is more important.

Yeah, basically I wanna upgrade the brakes for the aestheticity of my car...

Drums never looked good to me.. hehe..

Using a cb70 engine in my g100... So.. would you strongly recommend discs, bro?
