eg6/eg9 halfcut into ek

is it possible to install eg6/9 engine into an EK
as far as i know the OBD and ECU are different
what complications are possible to occur??

yes, can. malaysian boleh ma..

wiring, 80% cut & paste.. engine monting must change to aftermarket type [eg to ek]. cockpit totally can't used to ek la.. but, all in engine bay.. think, can fit!

last month, a mechanic fr gombak quote me $7500 complete in 10days, fr eg6 [m] NON LSD hafkat transplant to ek! just ask him, what u wan to know.. 012 3925 263 ah joo!

it can be done definitely without any problem.
no complication for the ECU.

ek body weight is more a bit compare to eg/ef rite...simple colculation, even torque of the engine quite same but there are suppose to eg/ef body might be more pickup performing due to the matter of the body weight...kekekeke
but b16b in ek body,no comment..hahaha

i know power to weight ratio its the worst selection buy since my ek might be having engine problems so now considering to change it

Yeah, once I heard from a guy from mun lee puchong said It's no problem fitting the engine and ecu n even lsd... but the dash board parts onward u have to look for EK4&9.
But is there a better place besides mun lee???

meet zaim at RS motospot, relau or farouk at arowana, sbrg jaya.. they, a few otai vtec in penang.. & ask abt cost too! hehe..

since u r from penang, u better go for EK4 halfcut. Even EG halfcut is much more sheaper but U can use every parts from the EK halfcut (such as engine mounting, meter, dashboard, 99 spec air-con climate, suspension system). And the wiring just plug n play. it won't cause too many unexpected problems. I did this EG halfcut transplant to EK before, wiring have to cut n paste.

Rockshoxx....at last you're going for a transplant instead of using turbo.For transplant,a few shops in Penang that does it..RS motorsports is somewhere near to PISA...it's the shoplots further down...behind the RHB bank...then..another one is beside the JPJ..can see tonnes of civics there....okie..hear from you then and hope to catch with you again...Cheers and good luck bro!

its either get a b16a or overhaul my current engine
but in budget wise i think getting a b16 now would be better cause dun have to spend the extra on overhauling the engine now

if northern part, a few area u can look around. if got petrol bajet.. try fr teluk intan --> menglembu --> taiping --> b'worth --> SP --> jitra! i think, wit proper timetable, can manage to go all of this area.. hehe..

i already try it before!
