In fact the gear box is unique to the Evo 7.5. The tiptronic mated with this car is based on Porsche's during its time and its quite strong for an autobox TBH (no need for any recall for this). It can hold fair enough of power around 330+ bhp (check link with sample build below). The gears themselves are actually different. We have stripped apart both gear boxes. This has been the "assumption" by some (especially airtrek guys no offense). Its the same thing with the Murano having "similar" engine with a Z. :rolleyes: Some difference I can recall are gear box, internals like pistons, block, injectors, head, cams/valvesprings retainers, intake manifold, MAF, fuel pump, turbo...Here's a link guys of a nice & clean Evo 7.5 build using STANDARD gear box - http://www.c-red.com.au/magazines/efo/ :cool:</blockquote>

How to tell Evo 4/5/6 AYC Malfunction?

Hi Evo's Sifu's,
here is a common question again posted again & again and hope this round i could get newer advise on how to tell an AYC malfunction or function without refering to the AYC check light on the meter...
