I think better just took out all the "funnel" than cutting it.
Really save fuel compare stick it in the throttle in the box
for short distance which used quite numbers of gears.
In my experience.

bro sache, your meaning is you still got the standard airbox intact without the funnels. sound will become louder? how's the performance? maybe can try your recommendation 1st... take out all then... in the mean time i go potong the funnel into half.. hehehee...

too much air turbulence coming the TB...

Toyota engineer back then surely have tested it out what's the best results...
and i believe the best result for the stock plastic trumpet best goes when the plenum is closed...

if it's open...then you should use the aftermarket velocity stacks...

beside we should read about the velocity stack...flare design...
some trusted source mentioned that open flare are better then rounded flare...

boss, i google open flare design. couldn't find anything related eh.. result come out is about oil rig and burning furnace.

how is the design different from normal rounded trumpet style?

i can't remember where i read it...some toyota related page...

but you can try to search it...

"velocity stack flare" widely use on big bikes...

all the same except the funnels took out. same sound like before, but less fuell comsuption for short distance and all traffic light situation.
for highway, that I dont try yet.

One question, why my car feel like a cut after around 20kmh like that?
habis kene potong to a dude with his wife with standard SEG AE111,
with smiling face lagi tu.
