those made in germany tends to last longer, as proved by some of my friends using german made and thailand made GSD3. sure it's more expensive, but really different grip level.

I'm not sure if the german made is available in malaysia coz last time when he bought it, it was from Singapore.

That means it will be cheaper if i go to singapore to get it.

Thailand GS-D3 has no silica compound in it (means no traction difference when hot)..so is totally uncomparable with the germany's version which is otherwise.

On what basis does your friend say that the German ones last longer? The question of grip level and tyre durability is very subjective. One might think a GIII last longer than ES100, some otherwise. Similarly, tyre durability is different from two cars. One might be heavier than another, one car might be more powerful than another, most importantly, the driving style that matters most. If one of your friend loves taking corners fast, its bound to finish faster than another friend that drives averagely.

well... he got 2 (yep 2) BMW 528i (old version, dunno the chassis code). One is manual... one is auto. rotating using them every week. one with German Made GSD3.... one with Thailand made GSD3.

so, it was based on his experience, plus some other guys who's using the same tyres on their merc and beemers. Ask for me, it lasted less than 6 months for the thailand made but that comes with heavy drifting here and there... almost everyday! :D

used ES100 made in Japan last me about 9 months. that is with 3 times average genting hillroad every week.

u can get it at batu pahat for very attractive price ...i got my F1 GDS3 made in germany for rm3XX 205/40/r17...superb performance!! especially on wet surface!!
