1.0 GL gearbox has the same ratio with gti except smaller gear ratio at fifth gear. sound nice hah..can go even higher at top speed? no you wrong!! your fifth gear damn not enough power. even your final ratio at 4.1, you have to push harder at forth till 180kmh above,then you can shift it.otherwise, its just a dummy.
gti gearbox is just nice for top speed.i'd try it with my suzukisport chip..from lowest 50kmh, i drag till the end...yummy...7200rpm..revs cut at 7500rpm.still got 300rpm to go..errr..already flying.

as i mention, its a low end ratio.you must have enough power to life up the fifth gear.i'm not the onli one that test it out but other delphi forums does.you must ensure you bring the needle above 180kmh in forth,...all round, std gt g/b is the best cause suzie made it close ratio.even its a 4.3

anyway, worth a try.

believe me, 1.0 gearbox also can reach 180kmj :regular_smile:

Wah bakar-bakar mine using 17" cannot go 4 drag.. crazzy must try ABX.... first,his car is the bench mark to optimise to c if the car can go 4 drag...hehehe.. by the way decide to keep the engine wit 1.0 gearbox for future R&D G13B...:shades_smile:
