Are you running on aftermarket FPR? If yes then please makesure you are running on a good quality FPR with a correct fuel pressure setting
If things still not ok, then should check your ECU.

If I recall correctly, that will be 31-32PSI at idle and roughly 40-42PSI at WOT

Today my car died because the fuel pump kaput. So I changed that. After that, the response become better. So i hope this will also give better FC!

Bro veloc, are you transplant from 1.3 or 1.6 4afe? Coz 1.3 fuel return line has smaller diameter than 1.6 and cam cause high FC also
