Honda crv 1996

okay,im new here,just want to ask, a few question.i got a problem on my CRV 1996,
-some of the engine component become faulty,
-the mileage over 200k km.(not a problem,just to tell)

the question is :
1) can i change the engine to other model of honda,such as,civic 96,accord,etc.
2) is it same the mounting of engine?
3) and,can i change the gearbox,from 4wheel,to 2wheel drive.? but still use automatic trans.(minyak kuat ma..:hmmmm:)

I have a CRV 96 as a spare car too.

i am sad to say, its possible but yet difficult....

i've known some people in europe countries swapping to H22A...but problem is that mounting would be an issue...

i have some suggestions...

the 96-01 CRV has the lowest spec of B20B...the compression is only 9:1..thus if u can up the compression to 11.....change to a VTEC head...regrind the exhaust valves and intake valves for clearance...but make sure that its all well precisely done...by doing that u might achieve 180bhp...which is quite sufficient..
