Hi tuned, Yes, I myself use a hood lock from Directed Electronics (maker of Viper Alarm). Call Han of Super Star in Pandan Indah to order 012-2725719. Had it installed last year. Price can't remember but I think should be lwell ess than RM 400 with installation. Just tell him, Sam from Keramat forwarded you to him. Who knows you might get good bargain if u go there. The downside of it, is that if your car is knocked down in front, it might be harder to open the hood plus be ready to accept they might to have to dig some holes here and there to adjust the lock. Security = less comfortablity. Don't care anymore abt that as there are too many car hijacks happened nowadays. Installation might be tough and tricky. Make sure they install it directly without going through the normal hood cable i.e. for Proton it is situated right besides the front tyre which is easire to find the cable. I may have to send to them again to adjust that. Don't have the right time to send to them now...:-(. Oh btw call Han to order first as they might not have the stock for that. Nothing is full proof in terms of security, it is just that it will be the crack of their (thieves) heads to bypass that. Oh, another thing, the one that comes from Directed has also some sort of cheap IMO for it (actually it has special fuse conencted to your wiring). I just said that bcoz without opening the hood lock u can't even start your car though I have taken it out as I think Viper IMO is good enuf for now. Hope this helps.
