you can apply for an AP from MITI - Ministry of International Trade Industry (?) - which Rafidah Aziz is the minister. say to the clerk there that you need to apply for an AP. AP is the approve permit for you to bring some things which need to be approve by the government. something like controlled items - vehicles, rice (beras), etc.etc. Student AP is the AP given to students to bring their items (mostly cars/ SUVs/ vehicles) into malaysia. They can arrange for the AP with the malaysian embassies in the countries they study at. Ordinary AP is reserved for the others. But, AP is the permit only. I think you need to pay for the import taxes and everything. there are many procedures and money involved. But still, its worth the trouble. let say you buy a two year old C class in the UK, it only cost about 10? 15K? pounds. its like 50?60K? RM, then the cost bringing the car would be like rm20K at most, still, you save about RM80-90K for the C class.
