ideal cruising temperatures for 4age 20v?

Check Radiator clogged? or water pump and/or radiator fan running optimum speed?

it was running cooler than it should..

i think it's bcoz fan running all d time.. plus my aircond is bypassed too..

it's impossible to get a mechanic to spend time on this..

they suggest to get new wiring.. easier for them to install.. but the cost :banghead:

so, i guess i got to do it myself

The ECU wont allow the VVT to be trigger if the temp is too low...
One of my customer wired his SVT aircon fan to be on always, end up his engine temp always running at 1/10 scale. At the end, he has to "wait for temp raise to enjoy the power"

So please wire back your aircon wiring if you dont want to potong stim

Funny, because the thermostat should control the temperature?

yeah.. I was thinking d same thing..

maybe bcoz d thermostat have a lil hole n a loose plug in it.. around 2mm i think..

i asked d seller, what's that for? he said it's for air bubbles to go out..

that hole leaking xtra cool water inside my engine i think..

so, need to hotten d water a bit by setting d fan on auto on/off

if u can see, it's on the north east of that thing

Not sure if this is somewhat related but, once without any warning, steam came out from the bonnet. Stuck in heavy traffic. Luckily was at a small section (near Bank Negara). Parked my car there. Every passer by asked what happened hahaha. No choice but to tow the car to bengkel. Upon inspection, the top part of the radiator cracked. Meter didn't show any signs of increased temperature. That time was using 2E engine which was like < 10 years ago (suddenly felt old hahaha).

With current BT, stuck in jam usually meter needle at the center. When cruising on the highway, usually at 2/5.

i guess this thing only related once experienced you it...if not...people expect the temp meter will rise slowly giving you ample time to take action...in reality that sequence will be like...cold---warm---youre f**cked...

Since radiator top crack, hot water leaking out will steam. I kena once too, coming down Genting. Near the foothill was jam at that time, suddenly steam coming out from engine bay. Stop to check and found top hose crack and hot water leaking out. Took out those black tape for wiring from tool box, and tape up the crack part of the hose. Lucky still got 2 bottles 1.5L drinking water. Fill up and drove home. Next day go mechanic to replace top hose.....:driver:
