Alternator problem SW20 MR2..SOS!

my MR2's (n/a 1990) alternator was faulty and then got replaced by a recon one
the prob is the alternator got fried and smoke can be seen
anyone got any ideas whats wrong?:hmmmm:
does anyone have an alternator for...
