Cold Air Intake

Hi guys,
does any of you did a cold air intake for carburator? I am using satria 1.3 and just wanted to try can do or not.
Does anyone know?

removing existing exhaust

Is there anyway to add on a device so that you can remove the exhaust piping as an when you need it (ie during racing) & when you want it to be quiet, u can install back the pipe?
