Hi guys

Just to inform that I’ve made significant updates on my site and I think they may be of use to someone, hence letting you guys know.

Brake lever from AE101 can be installed into KE70

20v quad (4) throttles brake vacuum issues

All vacuums of 20v quad (4) throttles

Fuel tank pressure issue

B6 big oil filter for 4A-GE

Please don’t scold me on this one – KE70 using Honda seat mated with AE111 belts.

This is the best update. New water routing suggestion for 20v transplant into FR KE70 or AE86

Thanks to everyone for visiting and not bashing me

Thanks fook :)

I've got 4.3 FD now. A little better. After doing the 4 throttles cleaning, distributor put back original place, not relocated anymore, add swirling bullet, change muffler, put flexible between O2 and exhaust temp, re-route water, less water, lesss drag on water pump.

The car feels allot smoother..... very very smooth in fact. Very weird. I don't understand why.

I just took my colleague back home from annual diner to kota kemuning and he has not sad in my car for a long time and I didn't tell him about all the maintainance I did, but after 3 km or so travel he tells me that the car is smoother and better.

I don't understand why co-driver can also feel ???

Maybe you are better too :P How did you fit the dizzy back to the original spot? Did you modify your firewall? And what is a swirling bullet?

My car is much the same, but now with a locker and disc rear end, and RCA's and more camber (running -3 degrees now). Stiffer rear springs, softer front swaybar. Much more fun for motorkhana, haven't done any other events since yet. Only problem is now I'm killng my tyres too quickly, 1 set for every 3 events (so about 1 set of tyres every 3 months!!!)

Cusco 1.5 way LSD and 4.7 FD should be arriving this week :)

chin,

man you don't have to mentioned my name lar... now every body in the world know i hace an unfinnished car i the garage.. hahahhaa... :P ..

but sometimes its good also for some one to remind me that i got a car waiting to to be completed....

then again ... chin...thanks man for all the tips.....

you never seems to stop to amaze ppl....

Hahahha, don't know about me getting better. I just had a drive company with a Wira Sedan MIVEC around high ways and my friend scold me that my top speed is only 140 when I'm leading, never above that. Only when I'm chasing him will be higher, cause forced to. hahahaha

The dizzy could clear the firewall because the previous previous installer knocked the firewall clear. Shown below.

http://www.my-acoustic.com/Car/transplant/restoration_2/pictures/engine+clutch.jpg

The engine is mounted forward around 1.5 inches compared to 16v, not only because to clear the dizzy but the water pipe as shown above highlighted by the red rectangle.

So, the option to put the dizzy back to original position was always there. :) heheh

My propeller shaft was also cut and extended 1.5 inches to accommodate the effect. I only found this out recently. :( ahhahahahahhaha

One day in the future when I re-built my spare engine, I will make sure to perform the mods as adviced by toymods.org.au where by remove the complete water pipe and sensors. Seal the holes. Seal the other water port. Drill through the wall to let the water circulate.

With the water pipe and sensors gone. I can re-mount the engine back 1.5 inches. I think that would improve handling :)

But I still have the dizzy to clear, so I hope one day I'll be able to use a stand-alone + coil over plugs and get that settled once and for all. $$$$ gone :(

The swirling bullet is just a term I made up, don't know the official tech term. It's simply a mid-box silencer kind of thing, but the internal is a swirling shaped peforated tube with fibers inside the walls. Imagine a torque screw kind a look.

Personally I think (from my studies of acoustics) that the physical swirling is only cosmetics and does not do anything to improve performance. In fact the difference between air-speed on the swirl and in center flow is so great that a high pitched scream may be generated.

Since the air-speed difference is so great between the swirl wall and center flow, in reality we "assume" that the true air-flow is only the center section without the swirl. i.e. smaller diameter pipe.

Some times I think if the scream I predict is true that means sound energy is produced and this energy must come from some where and is not free, hence I may have lost some engine power :(

Don't know may be I think too much. Well, I may be thinking too simple previously. Because that swirling shape, where it's number of turns per distance over xx amount of trunking in (mm) is a function of wavelengths which is frequency which is engine rpm.

There is also the issue of steady state air flow versus variable and not to mention the engine valves overlap backwards into the throttles and backwards into the air fliter.

Oh, well, just ignore me.

-3 degree camber will put allot of load onto the bearing. Mine got damaged due to a slack fitting in the hub.

How much did you get that 4.7 for ?? from who?

I got my 4.7 FD brand new from Japan, from Techo Pro-Sprint. Roughly around RM2000 delivered (OUCH), but I couldn't find anything cheaper :(

And yes Chin, you think too much :)
