I recently bought a Mitsubishi L200 worrior 2004 model, the car looks good on the outside. The problem is i only drove a 23 mile from the auction at which point it started overheating, i stopped the engine immediately incase i caused more damage. I have since changed the water pump, thermostat, and had the head done, but the problem is still there. Anybody help please

Auction cars?

You mean repossessed cars auction?

Being an ex car repossesor, i came across owners putting sand or salt into the engine before it reposses...

Unless you buy repo cars cheap, its not worth the while....

So check the fuel tank, the radiator and the engine for salt or sand....:banghead:

have you had the radiator n water lines cleaned? it could be clogged with rust over the years since those trucks are used mainly for rough use and cleaning the water lines isnt normally part of the regular maintenance schedule esp if it used to be a company car...

Overheat is not just because of water sometimes. Check the fuelling system, oil starvation, etc....
