Thanks Bro. u dont have this problem ? I heard that in other country they use that oil should be ok.. do may i know Malaysia got sell or not?

vh-101, which MR2 gear box are you using first? and the issue could be as simple as changing the oil or crunch gears. Personally i too had a third gear issue when i first bought my car, the problem? my clutch springs.

maybe is the clutch problem or gear oil level to low (3s-gte gear box actual need 4.2liter is more than normal car 2-3liter)

4.2l is when u completely drain all out kosong kosong until no oil inside.... i change my gear oil the other day around 3.1 liter.....

Bro bb race, yeah, decision now is change new oil. Heard in other forum (USA) said that they use the Pennzoil Sychomesh Oil ok wor.. any on know here got sell?

vh,

I think Eneos has it, not sure, but in KL. Alternatively, try redline.

Bro, do u know how to contact him? And where is RedLine? any contact information? Thanks!

The 3SGTE version is those 1st version of 3SGTE, just after 4AG those version..

If its a MR2 3SGTE from a gen one it does not have LSD (i'm quite sure) so most trans. oil will do. But for me personally i only use Motul oil... :-)

if u drain the oil from the drain plug......there is still oil inside....unless u open the whole gearbox out.....hahahaha

Eneos is the name of the Japan giant lube company, they also have a motor accessories supermarket here. Redline is another brand from US.

Hi bros,
Having bad experience with Redline gear oil :banghead:and just dig back an old thread. Should have listen to tom's advice. I use Redline LSD oil and it last less than 5k KM and my LSD gets noisy on slow corners and the G/B is noisy( rough grinding ) on normal town driving. Either the Redline I bought is fake :listen::confused: or totally not recommended for MR2 !! After replacing it, it is now smooth and quiet like a brand new G/B.

overseas swears by the product.

not sure of fake redlines but there are different grades of redline

one of this is : redline MT90

redline, motul are some good products

Hi Khoo198, I am using Silkolene PROSRG gear oil. Smooth shifting.........:proud:
