for luxury for sure m3 the interior is awesome and super comfortable for a sports car
but for performance GTR!!!! all the way
but im sure almost this whole forum will be chanting GTR GTR GTR!!!

Mugen RR for pure RAW power

in what sense? what do you mean by RAW power? i'm quite sure Mugen RR don't have enough power, RAW or COOKED, to pull enough Gs around the corner to sprain your neck... the GTR did just that to Jeremy Clarkson.

Phew nice choices!
If performance is your no.1 priority then of course the GTR rules! With this car even Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo owners might think twice to have race against you.
Btw if I were you I would also consider the Evo IX MR over the S204, and that Evo would be my first choice in terms of practicality and performance for the dollar.

hahaha i like this
very true indeed
the RR will never match up to the G'sss u feel from the GTR
twin turbo>no turbo
especially when u mention power!!!

When i say RAW it means its really pretty much driver that controls the car like his arms and legs
Unlike GTR,it has so many computer tech in it..A Noob driving a GTR can be FAST on track as long he has balls...because the GTR system will sense and correct via electronic gimmick any under or over steers

Mugen Civic is just a plain car, with great engine and great handling...everything at its basic...the suspension cant be pressed to "R" mode...the transmission cant be pressed to "R" mode...and so on

BTW...Top Gear is a show, its for entertainment,u really believe that old fat guy sprain his neck in GTR? Oh come on...thousands out there drives a GTR and they dont sprain theirs...If GTR can make neck sprain means tat old guy is not Fit enough.... And our ZTH time attack champion wont be a GTR bcoz who ever in it should be in hospital by then:hmmmm:

ahhhh...so thats what you mean by RAW. then yes i agree the Mugen RR is RAW, but not extreme yet.. the ones that are so RAW you can see blood dripping are examples like Ariel Atom, Caterham 7, Lotus Exige.. etc. the neck part is probably entertainment, but again, the GTR can pull the Gs that the Mugen RR will never dream of achieving. likewise a DSG is going to change gears faster than the best driver in the world in a Mugen RR simply because the manual transmission cannot physically change gear faster than a DSG.

which comes to my MAIN point, i believe the thread starter is not a professional driver, and his MAIN criteria is PERFORMANCE and luxury. a noob driver in a GTR and a noob driver in a Mugen RR, which will have better performance, man+driver. Obviously the GTR. So the answer to the thread starter is GTR.

correct me if i am wrong but you're saying the ZTH time attack champion in the GTR might be lousy driver, but he definitely have gigantic balls. I don't agree with you on this, but I respect your opinion.

what i mean is the GTR neck spraining is just for entertainment...
i dint not mention out caterham or ariel atom bcoz they are not listed by tread starter...ariel atom uses k20a too
On paper or on track the GTR and RR are just two different class...just like GT300 and GT500

so anyway,my point is just simple...he ask for suggestion,we give suggestion

#1 thing bad about RR is tat there are PLENTY of RR wanabe out there...the ori RR parts even if u wan to replace also u have to show prove to Mugen Co Ltd only then they can provide u with spare parts

I would take the RR anytime...as it's a NA so taking care of it would be easy. good balance between power and handling. Don't have to fork out huge amount for road tax and insurance. FC won't suck big time. Parts is also easy to find...

comparing the mugen RR to the Skyline GTR is kinda unfair....displacement....or techs....or price....its like comparing a MTB with a Scrambler Bike......

Well... the RR is best basic performance car to begin with if you had the money.....then comes the GTR, which is the best bully car on the road if you had the money....hahaha no offense to GTR drivers....

but both are great cars in their own sense.... how come nobody mention the 911RS.... now thats a track car.....

If one can afford a GTR, should be no problem maintaining one as for the maintenance of a GTR is not cheap at all~~

both cars has diff the mugen RR has better handing than GTR but when comes to power the GTR owns it..... correct me if im wrong....

Is it just me or have I seen too many R35's on the road until it no longer makes it interesting to spot one on the road?

Sure it's a fantastic car and all, but does it make you feel special? IMHO no it doesn't. Value for money - yes, power crazy figures - yes, crazy track times - yes, Porsche beating figures - yes () but does it make you feel special especially when you have that much money to blow on a car? Probably no.

I'd go for either the M3 or the RR anyday. RR is a little too stiff for daily abuse though, I mean the type-R is already uncomfortable enough imagine the RR which is more extreme than that. So in the end the M3 will be the ultimate choice for me.

But I'd dump the M3 for a BMW 135i and spend the extra money on a nice set of rims + bodykit.

driven customer civic FN2 Mugen..not so powerful but FC very good. parts not easily available maybe because less ppl driving this car. maintenance wise nothing special. for MT fluid my fren is using Honda Ultra MTF-III Fluid, engine oil n filter any preferred brand is ok.

S204, a very good setup street/track use car. Special edition version 9 with 320hp in stock. market value below rm200k now. a very comfort sedan performance car. maintenance wise about the same wit evo or sti impreza

BMW E92 i got no ideas as im not continental fans...not really loves it. most expensive is DCTF but BMW mentioned its lifetime usage, not so sure bout that.

for GTR R35, the most powerful JDM car at the moment. retail price around rm500k in car dealer.

not really have any big issues if u didnt simply abuse it.with minor mods easily tuned up to 600hp(stock 480hp/facelifted 530hp)

maintenace 4pcs ori bridgestone semi slick tyres around rm10,000, Fully Syn engine oil + oil filter + frt differential rr differential fluid around rm1000. change all every 5000km

DCTF stock 10L wit clutch relearn should be rm2xxx. add about 1L if got upgraded trans oil pan. OCI 10,000km(depends usage)

roadtax and insurance annual should be rm15-18k depends

there r plenty stock/standard GTR on the road now, if u feel bored about it. there are some aftermarket bodykit available. there is one set WALD widebodykit i saw that day up for sell. original used at rm28k...not sure if its edi sold :) other than that, zele top secret mines they all do hv comes out with bodykit also
