My dad's an old fashioned man who is too stingy to spend on himself but always dreamed of driving a prestigious luxury car. I plan to put my plan in action hopefully in december; when it is their birthdays.My budget is around 90k; with 10-15k of the softloan being downpayment and the rest on a 5-year loan and the remaining around 5k cash for repairs. I've been looking at the Merc C200 and am highly considering it because I was told that maintenance is rather low and cheap and it is not such a big car to drive.I need some advise on car choice. The focus is obviously on maintenance, comfort, driving pleasure and fuel consumption; in that order of priority.Also; what do I need to repair and spend the cash on to ensure at least some confidence in the car since my mum is old fashioned about 2nd hand cars being problematic.Sorry for the long story; but this is something which would mean alot to me; and I needed a genuinely good idea; with the above story in mind since this is a dream of my parents.
