New colour for car. What to do?

I would like to know what is the procedure to change the colour of car in the grant. What are the fees like? Will they do any other inspections such as engine number and so on? I can't seem to find this info in JPJ website. They even have info on HID lights and number plate specs but not this. So, if someone who has done this, please share. I know it's also ok not to change the colour in grant. I have been doing it for years now. But would also like to know what is the worst thing could happen for not changing the colour?
