Hi forumers, anyone experienced steering rack oil leakage on their Nissan Teana 2011?
Any idea where to get half cut or 3rd party part?

original is about RM6000...

normally the leak is caused by worn seals in the rack. Change the seals instead, and the rack will be fine. the seals should cost a couple hundred bucks the most. The labour for installing might cost more.

Buy the whole rack only if the gears inside is worn.

BTW, do you see any drop of steering oil fluid from the reservoir?

u could get your steering rack reconditioned, definitely much more lower than paying rm6k.

6k for steering rack..wow...
like the others said, either reconditioned it or replace the outer seal.
if your mileage is more than 200k km i would suggest a recondition as u never know what might fail in the future.

replacing the seal is easier but if mileage is very high and u have never change the pwr steering fluid the other seal might fail in near future.
