[QUOTE="exigezero, post: 131107, member: 4954"] wow...really got balls to run a VR4 without IC. first of all, we need to know why the intercooler is fitted. VR4 intercooler is huge by any standard. it is an air-to-air cooler to cool down the air before it enter the combustion chamber. Now, hot air carry less oxygen and that is why the intercooler is placed in front of the radiator. to cool the air. Why? because when the turbo is in operation, it literally forced the air into the chamber, therefore, huge amount of heat is generated. Now fren, your engine is still running doesnt mean it is in good condition. Put this in the picture, normal ppl can sit in sauna=engine for 30 min, but if u continually sit inside the sauna, very soon, u will be steamed alive. There r signs that the engine is stressed to the maximum already. Water temperature. the reason the water temperature is rising is because the circulating water cannot absorb and dissipate all the heat produced by the engine. You are running extremely lean air/fuel ratio....thus the excessive heat. Try to put an exhaust temperature gauge into your car and see...i believe it is in excess of 1000 celcius...perhaps even more. A normal turbo engine operate between 700-900 celcius running on full boost. you are killing the engine in a slow n guaranteed death....and when the engine die, it never tell u.....it will just melt n go...
