Oil Pressure

Curious to know wat should b the oil pressure reading for a normal B16A?? I mean the reading on a oil press. gauge of course.....

Always wanted to know whether it would fluctuate when the Vtec engages??

i'm not sure if mine is "normal"..but here goes:
idle (after warm-up) : 1.8 - 2.0 Bar
wide open throttle : goes up to 6.0 bar max then will snap back to 5.6 bar or so..
-there's no noticeable fluctuation when vtec kicks in..
anybody else's different??

thanx buddy.... at least i got an idea b4 i fit in a oil press. gauge.......

vtec engines r very oil sensitive..... 2 thick n the vtec does not open on time!!

WOT : 6.0 Bar? i thought it should be around 5?

yes i agree, not much fluctuation during vtec engagement..

idle 2 bar
WOT 6 bar
Vtec time 4 to 4.2 bar
