We have here a grey BMW F30 today, for some light corrections and Optimum Coating. Initial conditions of the car was that it is in quite a good shape, paint was clean, seldom driven as the owner was waiting for us to do the coating before he drove it. The only defect we could spot was...

So as we can see from the initial condition at the first wash, water on the surface is not beading and not slipping off the surface, which mean it is not hydrophobic and there is a minimum protection on the surface. The water does not lay flat simply because the surface is new and clean, not much contaminants that distort the original surface tension.

We complete the detailed wash and move on to surface inspection. Grey metallic surfaces are rather hard to view damages but with proper high powered LED lighting we can easily spot it.

On the illustration, we can clearly see that the surfaced had been polished and left behind holograms or buffing trails. Other than holograms, there was not much damages as the car was spanking new.

We moved on to our standard correction process for BMWs, which we imply our own correction combination and formula. Illustration below shows the corrected hologram, and for your reading and viewing pleasure...

The next image here we can see a zoom in version and clearer version of the corrected surface.

We then treated the edges of the glass with some watermark removal solution, but it was very minor so no pictures of that process, after that we applied coating onto the glass.

For those who followed us long enough, our results as usual, epic gloss and shine, we will let the pictures do the talking.

Thank you for reading. Hope you love our signature water beading shots. Cheers.
