is it true tht thick plug cables would create EMI(if i'm not mistaken) when spark which will interfere with our car's electronics component?

hope sifus can give some guides n experience cause i'm thinking to change it to a thicker plug cable...

thanks
:)

oem cables are better then any aftermarket big size cables...that also depends on engine capacity.

EMI means Electro Magnetic Induction.
Bro, actually the size is not a serious issue. Its the resistance of the cable is the issue and the insulation material used to wrap the cable.

You can compare those NGK with those so claim high performance cables. Then u will see the difference.

My sis atos is using NGK cables and the size is not very big slighty bigger than the original.
but it perform well.

then how should i know whether it is a good material??

branded plug cables normally cost how much?? like NGK... dont tell me nology la.... to me is no-logic cause i cant afford.... heh heh

thnx

actually for cable, the best size is 8mm silicone cable, no EMI on ur audio system , and able to support general mod engine. just go to spare part shop and ask for 8mm silicone plug cable ..laa. :D

The NGK set i bought cost around 300..

u can try ultra plug cables as well...
but if you engine is stock, then just stick to original cables lah.....i dun think it will make much difference if you change it

i tink something wrong with the original cables ker
they already did dyno test with stock n aftermarket cables
all gave less than 3% of increase in power
3% cant feel the diffrence one ler
and the aftermartket one oso only recommended if u played with coils n ignitions.

as far as my knowledge...

plug cables wont increase power output... am i right?? and it will only increase fuel consumption right??

correct me if i'm wrong/...

theorekz... fuel consumption is depend on ur air, if more air = more fuel... so the spark will definetly nothing to do with it...

better spark can produce more power, but must think that ur piston still standard which can damage ur piston...

for NA, to get more power u will need less fuel with a lot of air which it's call lean ratio.. with help from better spark also increase power coz it's easier to get burn..

but the best cabel plug is still the standard one, i always see track cars which their choice for spark plug cabel always the standard one, not all but most of them....

amad, did i hear u right ? LEAN mixture burns easier ?? I think its RICH lah..

not, rich mixture for turbo's engine which can up boost.. for NA i said, i had try it man, i use perdana injector's for my 4g92 sohc engine n what happend is the engine respons is decrease... any engine with more air which lean mixture will get more power, u try burn petrol with less air n compare with more air it's totally big diff power u will get...

rich mixture can make ur engine overflow as well for carbie.. eg like 2 stroke engine, if too much petrol u give to the engine the spark can shut off coz of it's...

wanna prove, try it ur self... use bigger cc injectors..
