simonchangwaimun: Somehow rather, i cant agree bro.
People who buy Skyline's are people who can afford to pay RM300K - RM500K for a second car.
Not many people will buy a Skyline for a daily driver.. As such, most people that can afford to shell out RM300 - RM500k for a second car most probably will end up buying a Porsche or Ferrari.
The sad reality is that the Skyline might be a better or more exciting driving machine but it will only appeal to a very small market of purists.
And in the event that it should be about the passion to drive, the Porsche 911(996) Turbo S provides more fun and passion than a Skyline can hope to deliver in a standard form..
Im saying this after having a spin in a 911 Turbo S and then getting back into my R34 GTR. Drag racing, a standard R34 can deliver maybe high 12's. The 911 turbo S delivers you 11.9 seconds STOCK standard. Not to mention its cornering abilities... Only thing is the cost of course..
If its about passion to drive, Porsche's, BMW M5's, Ferrari's win hands down not to mention supercars like Lamborghini's Murcielago.
If its about the quest to chase horsepower and raw grunt, the Skyline wins as it can be modified.. but then again, most people with that kind of money buy cars cause of their passion for fine things in life and passion to drive and henceforth, the Porsche etc etc will be the final choice..
My 2 cents. :)
