Just wondering, how much would the standard intake is able to support?

thanks

Shouldnt the standard plenum support even very high horepower spec'ed vehicles? Ive always been confused about this one too.. coz the plenum only increases and evens-out the flow in to each cylinder.. maybe 'helps' attain higher horsepower.. but not 'support'.. choice of words really.. *confused*

woop

i saw a gtr on dsports with stock intakes and a pair of ihi rx6 turbos going for 850bhp.

Not sure about the 34-GTR, but the 33-GTR No.5 and 6 cylinders are always known to be the lean child. This is from a "poorly" designed OEM plenum.

hench why nismo come out with nismo plenum ?

I may be wrong ;but I was always under the impression that all plenums have this problem where the last few cylinders have the tendency to be 'leaner' due to the amount of air it receives. Regardless if the end tank is tapper or not , I think that it would only serve to lower the discrepencies between the cyclinders rather than totally solve this problem. Looking at the Nismo plenum..I doubt it will help much where this inherit problem is concerned.
