I.have a 4age silvertop and suddenly one day engine idle very low and sometimes the engine just dies. Lots of misfires happening and plenty of black smoke coming out. Exhaust smell like lot of petrol...

can i actually detune a high performance car to a daily drive-able car?

for example, a heavyly modified skyline with over 500 hp... would it be possible that i detune it to about 300hp so that it's more fuel...
