I've been assigned to work in Singapore for a while now and noticed that there are a LOT of Scoobies (Subaru WRX) down here!! From the basic 1.6 to the souped up STI, there are heaps of them roaming the streets! Some of the Scoobies are modified and will make your jaw drop. Damn nice....It's nuts down here...

look carefully..
most of them are just 1.6 imprezza they are slow :P

i got few friends drive subaru.. thats why i know :P

same goes to taiwan here... heaps of them... probably becoz Mitsu Evo arent in the market here...

u want to see the same scene? go to miri, bruneians love subarus and u see lots of them when they go shopping in miri

can easily see evo7, 8MR on the road...

Eh, JB got alot, especially towards the weekends, you see all the tuned monsters all come out and play.

I was working in JB for a month, always hang out at Johor Jaya's Food Court at night, seen so many nice Evo and Scoobies there. Occasionally can spot convoys of Lotuses and MR2s heading towards Pasir Gudang.

If you go to the Custom area, just sitting in front of the cafe also you see alot. Most of them goes to that area to look for prostitute and they are all in nice nice nice cars.

Yeap, agree that there are a lot of STI wannabes, but the real stuff is really mouth watering. The thing is, I hardly see Evos compared to Scoobies. There are plenty of base model Lancers around, but hardly any Evos compared to the frequency of Scoobies here.
Will try to get some pics of the nice cars, but it's a bit hard, coz I only have time to go out during lunch breaks. Since I'm working right in downtown, the cars are actually on the road, so it's kind of difficult getting a decent shot of them. Plus, most of the time, I don't even have time to get my camera ready before they have zoomed away... damn, I want an STI! B)

join the s'pore group when they blaze sepang occasionally and you know why.

EVos aren't as popular as scobby there but there are quite a number of 'souped up' airtreks.

The "well heeled" spore boys really 'spend' on parts. Most of them don't keep it more than 2 years.

Over there the 'perception' is that scooby is more "refined" souped cars (just like in UK) the enthusiast are true scobby nuts

The EVos are really fine cars but Scobby has more "soul"

i would say that easily 50% of the really nicely done up(wing, kits, carbon fibre, rims, vinyls) subaru's in singapore are the 1.6 impreza, all show no go one..i was down last weekend at the local suabru tuning place...1 whole row of nicely modded subaru's...but all 1.6

actually, lots of evos in singapore as well
just that u dont hear their exhaust note..
watch out for BOV sound..

also RX8, New MIni, 350z, quite a number ot them..

WRXs are the cheapest 'performance' car one can buy in singapore... that's why you see a lot of them.. cost about SGD100k ... you'll have to a few tenths of thousands for an Evo... so go figure
