hi..

is it normal for a wira se's steering to vibrate when driving above 120km/h?i feel the car is shakey..is it suppose to be like that?how do i remove the shakiness?

probably your steering alignment went off.... or worst case, your rim's dented.....

hrm..today i drive around 140km/h...steering was quite shakey...i dont think rim is dented...hw do i make sure whether seteering alignment went off or not?

just go and check your wheel balancing and allighment....

normally, it's always the wheel balancing.

if problem still occur, you gotta check more indepth lo..

if you lazy to go check or wanna save a few bucks before going to the shop, then jack up your car, spin the front wheel and see if the tire moves up and down. if so, take out the wheel and change the position of which stud go in which hole, change the position of the lugnuts too.

might sound simple and strange, but sometime it fixed the problem -- temporarily. i fixed mine like that, but still, the problem is still there, just you didn't feel it. its still safer to go check allignment and balancing.

should check the stud. one of my stud bengkok abit, and a friend of mine who got shaky steering before found out one of his stud is cracked.

got a lot of factor which causes this problem...some of the contributing factors are...
1. Rims dented
2. Tyres got bengkak
3.didnt balance the wheel properly
4.driveshaft imbalance because of previous accident
5.rare case of wheel arms needs replacement cause too long from wear and tear...

sometimes if all those measures are taken and it still shakes..if doesnt mean ur car has a prob.IMO 140 is not a speed where every car can cruise smoothly.

even my new vios is still shakey at 130.

can our normal tire flatspot like like F1 tire? when i first change my master brake cylinder i can't get use to the braking force, keep on locking my wheel. then later steering vibrate liau..

me never reach 130km before, old car's can't do that. :-(

its becoz ur tyre presure n wheel balancing...last time mines also like tat. it oni happen when u drv slow n low rev
