ky fei, Turbo chargers do not destroy your engines, it is usually mankind that destroy's them by not taking care of the engine and most importantly, truly understand the concept of force induction....No doubt the maintenance is very much higher compared to NA but what it can give you is something NA could not do.... If you could spare some time, I've posted another post under force induction which reads GTI SC Kit review and you would get a much clearer picture......The GTI has been running 4 years now, been to phuket last year with GTI club and it performed without any problems at all, fuel was good, good torque & HP and minimal gearshifts....Took us 2 years or R & D, test drives and fuel mapping, very challenging process. The models under development carried out (1.3, 1.5,.16) by us has taken loads of time to develope, not the custom make to order, install test drive, feels good then it's ready for show, type of concept...We take our development work very seriously, every part fabricated is stress tested over a period of time running on the road while mapping is done and it will not move into production till it has proven itself over time, hence the long time involved... Low profile is the key word here, we do not want hassles from JPJ during road blocks, even if pop open the bonet, it takes a trained eye to spot the charger, it has no intercooler, no bov, no need metal gasket, standard gearbox and no tell tale signs that your ride is a force induction type.... Problems related to sc, change belt every year, and if belt snaps or worst scenario, supercharger jams, you ride it normal (NA) without boost, no damage to engine at all, get these parts change and you get the boost back..How's that for maintenance.......Service your car like you normally do, normal oil will do too.... Supercharger have their special oil and reservoir for lubrication, unlike turbo which uses the engine oil.... You prob need exhaust system change, airfilter to achieve the maximum results... Cheers gerard
