Message: <blockquote data-quote="gerard" data-source="post: 381713" data-attributes="member: 7656">mkjb,Thanks for following my threads and "YES" the GTI did appear in some local magazine before and "YES" too the Kembara is my other ride too.. :D It does takes up loads of time developing kits, testing them and the parts fabricated and mapping them too but I guess, that where all the fun is hidden .. ;) Like I said....any form of support from you guys will be very helpful...To motivate and keep us on the right track to strive harder... :rolleyes: ...Honestly, this kembara started the ball rolling, I enjoyed the low end torque and mid range power the sc churned out and it suited my driving style which is a daily driver and that's where the kembara lacks, the torque and mid range oomph.After using it for over 2 years..I decided that we should try this supercharger concept onto proton cars and develope it as a bolt on kit, simple and sweet, as I believe many end user are just like me.....desperately in need of low end torque at the right rpm's for daily driving...Thats how it all started... :rolleyes: ..Back to your questionsOn the Kembara issue...There was once a kembara that was equipt with a sprintex supercharger modded in australia but brought back to Malaysia as a sample car, it was using OEM engine..Just + the sc unit and some mods here and there...It blew pistons twice and the power was average and not to my liking....at that time I could compare it to mine as it was running a supercharged engine, plus the cost involved was rather high...I'm not saying that the kembara engine could not take a sc unit but it's just that we have not done one before...Mine was an engine transplant from the 4agze and not oem bolt on...Overall, the kembara is a nice compact car to drive around (town and light off road is fine) and it's cute too..So it all bores down to your personal liking and taste...I love it to bits...Hahaha :D Have fun and do keep in touc B) Regards & thanks gerard :rolleyes:</blockquote>
