Two models actually.So far there are only three Tiaras with AX GTi engine. One is still under construction. My brother can claim to be the first in the country to use the GTi engine, back in 2001. A loose engine complete with wiring, gearbox and driveshaft. A lucky find for just RM1100! AX GTi halfcut costs around 3.5k, if you can find one that is! Only this year the other two tiara owners managed to get their hands on GTi halfcuts.My brother is a tiara specialist. He repairs and modifies tiara. We had tested his Tiara GTi against a 4E turbo Tiara. The GTi has no problem beating the turbo Tiara both on acceleration and top speed. The GTi engine sounds nice. In fourth gear, the revs cuts in at 190kph (ends of Tiara meter reading), change into fifth it goes even faster.. surprisingly the 1.1 suspension just about manage to cope with the GTi power..Now he dumped the GTi engine in favour of a 1.8 engine with twin weber sidedraught carbs. This is NOT the engine found in 1.8 ZX, it still looks the same as a 1.1 Tiara engine. It's a conversion actually. The acceleration is brutal.
