top mount is more a compact setup. Cheap for manufacturer as standard setup.
Also, top mount suffers "heat soak" when car isn't moving while engine kept running. Heat soak reduces dispersion of heat capability of the intercooler.
front mount intercooler might be prone to damages like stone strikes, or frontal car accident...
front mount has better cooling than top mount. but to a race car, they need better cooling for radiator rather than boost as they revving the engine hard.. u have to know what ur setup u want..
long time i didnt post DIY stuff here... so i'm back... i got the Wira SE OEM extractor from a fren from hometown... he kept it for a year... so i have to remove the rust b4 using it on my car....
