these are great links for u to read to understand more http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/horsepower_vs_torque/index.html http://auto.howstuffworks.com/horsepower1.htm there are several ways to achieve higher torque, the easiest way it to increase its capacity , higher cc will have higher torque , look at big v8's , see their capacity vs hp and torque, the torque figures are crazy u can see a 4g63 getting 600hp but their torque figures do not reach them , while u see the LS1 V8 engine , 500hp , torque 500 too .. maybe u read the article above can unstd more , too many things plays a role in torque. so in other words, the turbo yes it increases ur hp and also torque , bt diffrent turbo will not make u get diffrent torque values... for example lets say , a td06 and a garrett t04e both flowing the same amount of air (CFM) , both producing equaivalent HP , u cant say the TD06 produced more torque, they would be the same , just that the turbine wheel , housing and design will play a role in ur spooling , RPM that u achieve ur desired boost levels and such. i would , garrett has a HUGE variant of turbo's compared to MHI , too many configurations , and u should know , even the GT turbos or old T garretts come with a choice for turbine sizing and such to suite the application of ur car. I guess , mitsu's are more limited in choice for what i see, maybe bebolas can tell us more about MHI turbo's.
